Take a group of zany funny loving performers and a loosely written show and you have “The Crackpot Players”.
The crazy gang of Crackpot Players will perform at the Banora Point Community Centre (at the corner of Woodlands and Leisure Drive, Banora Point) on Thursday, March 22 as part of the Seniors Week.
Doors open at 9.45am and the show starts at 10am with a gold coin entry.
The group of five performers, all over 50 will play multiple roles in this year’s show, the groups third in two years.
Last year’s Seniors Week performance proved so popular that they are back again to do it all over again.
Group member Pauline Kingma said the players were “a group of mature age people who look at life’s funny situations, hoping others will laugh along with us”.
“New members are always welcome,” she laughed.
Fellow group member Val Quinn said this year’s play centres around an open day for the residents and staff at “Insanitae’s” but Pauline and Val were reluctant to divulge more than that.
“You will have to come and see it for yourself,” they laughed.
