Shona makes every day count

Federal Member for Richmond Justine Elliot caught up with Shona Robertson and her mother Penny (Chair of Down Syndrome International) ahead of International Down Syndrome Day on March 21.
The trio were supporting the Every Australian Counts (I Count) campaign for a National Disability Insurance Scheme.
“Congratulations to Shona who is going to New York to address the United Nations. Shona will deliver a speech entitled “My Education – my Life” about independent living for those with a disability.” Ms Elliot said.
“She will also be one of eight self advocates from all over the world who will participate in the first ever conference on Down Syndrome, titled “Building Our Future” to be held at the UN.”
