More than 50 friends, family and fans turned out on Saturday at Boardwalk Books in Kingscliff on Saturday morning to launch Tweed author Nette Hilton’s latest book.
The picture book, the third (and she says final) in her series on Easter Bilby’s received a huge response.
Nette took her fans (young and old) through the process of writing the book “The Smallest Bilby and the Easter Tale” illustrated by Bruce Whatley.
She then read the book to her eager crowd (who were busy munching on Easter Eggs) before signing the new book. The story follows the tale of the Bilby’s who now deliver the Easter Eggs (after the bunnies decided to head off on a cruise ship).
Nette has been a published author for more than 20 years – her first book “The Long Red Scarf” was published in 1987. A former teacher, Nette loves passing on her knowledge to other writers. She is about to run a course “Little School of Righting Words” at the Cudgen Leagues Club and Tweed River Art Gallery on April 23 and 24 respectfully.
