With the trouble that the Titans are in at the moment and the demise of the Gold Coast United Soccer team wouldn’t it be a great show of support for the Gold Coast sporting community if the two supporter/barracking groups united their interests and strength and got behind the Titan players irrespective of their management problems.
For those league fans who do not know who The Beach are, it was the GCU barracking/supporters squad who gave their voice to their team each home game at Skilled Park.
They wore their team colours (blue/yellow) and topped it off uniquely with a Lifesavers patrol cap (blue/yellow) thus they took the name of The Beach, which I believe represents the magical area in which we live.
Both groups have a lot in common:
1. They are passionate about their sport.
2. They have a very similar team colour base.
3. They occupied the Northern end of Skilled Park.
4. They let the opposition players know they were there.
5. They are supporting their local Gold Coast Team.
