Broken promises

Today’s NSW State Budget again is littered with examples of lies and broken promises.
Ever since he was elected, Geoff Provest has been promising money for a Homeless Shelter in the Tweed. Yet again there is no money committed for either a Homeless Shelter or Drop-in-centre.
For years Geoff Provest has been promising to build a new High School at Pottsville because Kingscliff High is overcrowded. Again no money has been allocated to making this project a reality.
And the rot doesn’t stop with Mr Provest. His Liberal masters have again forgotten their promises to protect frontline services with their decision to cut 10,000 jobs. How can our Teachers, Nurses, or even our Police continue to do a sterling job for us if we keep on lumping them with more work.
The State Budget is a smoke and mirrors trick to disguise the fact that the Liberal and National parties have broken their promises to maintain services. It’s a pity for Mr Provest it doesn’t even hide the fact that he has again failed to deliver for the Tweed.
Bring on the next election. We won’t forget that you haven’t kept your promises Mr Provest.
