It should be clear to all that Tony Windsor’s revelation that Tony Abbott would be prepared to do or say anything to become Prime Minister couldn’t be more obvious by now.
His confirmation that the Coalition’s election bribe of Government funded paid parental leave for six months at the recipient’s current salary (up to $150,000 pa) would have to contend for the worst election promise ever (and with so many of his own Coalition against the idea!).
This farcical proposal to tax big business for its cost is a scam because those businesses will just add the impost on to the price of their goods and, as Abbott previously indicated, this would later be converted as a direct tax to income earners anyway.
This scheme is just part of his plans to give to the rich and place further imposts on the poor.
Australia’s environment is already under great stress with its present population, while the Earth is buckling under a human population of seven billion.
Tony Abbott is the same person promising to keep Australia on the path to simply being a mining quarry for other nations, while he destroys the NBN’s progress with optical fibre and cuts assistance to the car manufacturing business.
The last things this country or planet need are subsidies to increase the number of humans destroying the environment. Costello’s baby bonus was ridiculous enough and the average parent today has never had a better range of subsidies, tax deductions and rebates.
