Wildlife vs. the Shooters Party

NSW Government is now legalising the shooting of feral animals in all National Parks in this State. I, for one, am totally opposed to this decision. I am also shocked at the method used in attaining this new law! Hey, this is our homeland, Australia!
It seems the political trade-off to privatise electrical energy in NSW involves an agreement with the Shooters Party that gunmen will be allowed to kill. Obviously no one else gets a say in this legal decision that will probably result in the killing of protected wildlife in our National Parks, and endangering the lives of humans.
Shooters are killers. If they cannot find a feral animal to shoot dead, they will no doubt resort to the attitude of “anything goes”. Any target will do! It will not matter much to the shooters if wildlife is endangered, protected, or almost extinct. “Find and kill” is the Shooter Party philosophy! No one will ever see just what they DO kill out there.
I for one cannot believe that animal and human life is “at-risk” to satisfy a political agenda. Would you trust a man with a gun and intent to kill? I now believe that many politicians will be viewed in the same light as a shooter. There is much to be said about the corrupt lengths some politicians will go to, in the process of adopting a political stance in matters dealing with our environment.
Consider the following points:
nHow can any authority police such a practice?
nIf people shoot protected species, who is there to stop them?
nSome species are almost extinct.
nThe shooting of Koalas, Possums, Gliders, and Bats will happen.
nExtinction rate is likely to spike due to the irresponsible nature of shooters.
nGun law is now in jeopardy. Anyone could get a gun licence.
nHuman lives are at risk. Walking in a National Park is life- threatening.
nTourism in the Tweed is now at risk.
nThere are no policies protecting the natural environment which still remains.
nDisturbance and horror are the only stories that will be left in our National Parks.
nThe idiocy of people who make these decisions and who have the power to do so for political purposes is a law against democracy in this country.
I urge every Australian to stand up and overturn this law at a Federal level as, if a Government with this little consciousness is making decisions about guns and killing, who knows the next target?
It is time Aussies made democratic decisions in this country, not the so-called “leaders” who do not care!
