TV shows are under scrutiny, as far as I am concerned, for the following reasons. Most are American, and in particular “House” where leading actor Hugh Laurie portrays a doctor in charge of a special section.
Almost every sentence his utterances contain a reference to sex, most of his assistants use “F—-”, “Sh”t”, “P-ss”, and similar oaths etc, there doesn’t seem to be a clean script available.
The writers of this, and other American dramas, seem unable to come up with a heartwarming story or something that the whole family can watch without embarrassment. I almost forgot, the emphasis also which is placed on killing and various diabolical methods of murder.
Some years ago I had the greatest respect for Americans, and their abilities, both wholesome entertainment and business-wise, now I have none. I wonder how many “Oz” parents permit their children to watch this trash, and can only wonder whether daily diets of these shows contribute to the frightening acts of uncontrolled attacks on innocent people.
