Award-winning year continues

Having a ball after the big win. BIG4 North Star Marketing Coordinator Andrew Bradley with the latest awards.

If winners are grinners then it’s going to be very hard for the staff at the Big4 North Star Holiday Resort at Hastings Point to stop smiling for quite somea time.
For the second consecutive year, the Tweed Coast resort has scooped the pool at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association (CCIA) ‘Awards of Excellence’, winning both the ‘Best Holiday 4-4½ star Park/Resort (more than 100 sites) and the prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ Award, the CCIA’s highest accolade.
The CCIA Awards of Excellence, held at the Fairmont Blue Mountains on Friday night, recognises caravan and holiday parks, manufactured home villages and estates, caravan and RV manufacturers and dealers, as well as industry suppliers.
BIG4 North Star Marketing Coordinator Andrew Bradley said that awards of Excellence were amongst the industry’s most coveted awards.
“These awards are designed to recognise business excellence in the caravan and camping sector, and are the highest accolades that a caravan, RV or camping business can achieve,” said Andrew.
And of course The ‘Best of the Best’ title caps off an award-winning year for North Star owners, Ian and Diana Beadel, who last year celebrated 30 years in the business. The pair are going to have to get an extension on their trophy case to give the latest awards a home. In March, BIG4 North Star was named the Best Tourist and Caravan Park in Australia at the Australian Tourism Awards.
Andrew says the string of awards and accolades is a reflection of the ongoing commitment to innovation demonstrated by the hard-working owners and their staff, many of whom have worked at BIG4 North Star for more than 10 years.
“Last year, North Star won the NSW Tourism Award for Best Tourist and Caravan Park, the CCIA award for Best 4½ to 5 star Holiday Park (more than 100 sites), the CCIA Award for Excellence in Environmental Innovation and the CCIA ‘Best of the Best’,” said Andrew.
“Already this year we have won the BIG one – the Australian Tourism Award – and now another two CCIA awards.
“It seems like we haven’t stopped celebrating for the past year,” said Andrew. “The awards just keep coming.”
