The Armidale Rams Reserve side had a tough day at Warialda last Saturday, going down 30 to 16.
The Wombats had a great start to the game, scoring within the first minutes of the game. The Rams struggled with lack of ball possession and were behind on the scoreboard 20-0 at the half-time break.
In the second half, the Rams came back early, with Adrian Morris scoring and a successful conversion finally putting points on the board for the Rams.
The second half saw a bit of niggle in the play and one Warialda player was sin binned for a professional foul.
The Rams’ Michael Ware scored, Brian Dennison was successful with the conversion, bringing the score to 30-10.
The last minutes of the game saw a fantastic runaway try to the Rams from number nine Chad Borger, with a successful conversion by Brian Dennison; however this was only a consolation and was not enough to win the game.
