Tweed Seagulls blew away last-placed Sunshine Coast in the InTrust Super Queensland Cup match at Piggabeen Oval, West Tweed last Sunday.
Tweed Seagulls defeated the Sunshine Coast 44 – 12 to retain fourth place on the ladder of Queensland’s premier Rugby League competition.
The Gulls sit on 27 points, just behind third-placed Ipswich Jets on 28, with Wynnum Manly on 31 and Redcliffe Dolphins leading on 34 points, just two weeks from the final series.
The Gulls will be hoping to improve on last year’s season, when they missed the title despite dominating the home and away series.
The next game will see Tweed Heads Seagulls take on Souths Logan Magpies at Davies Park on Sunday from 3pm.
