Lunch proves fun and eye-opening

The crowd.

More than 150 people took part in the Prostate Cancer Awareness lunch at Kingscliff (Cudgen Headland) Surf Club on Friday afternoon.
The lunch, organised by Chris Carter – who also organising the Cook Island Challenge Paddle for Prostate Cancer on September 8 – proved both informative and a lot of fun. Guest speaker for the day was Major General Peter Cosgrove who surprised the crowd by winning the rugby league trivia (organised by league great Gary Belcher). Not bad for someone who is on the board of the Australian Rugby Union. He donated the $100 prize back to the cause.
The day also included a full lunch and an informal talk about Prostate Cancer and a lot of laughs.
