The Expressions of Interest form and terms of reference for each of these Committees are available to download from council’s website www.tweed.nsw.gov.au under ‘What’s New’ on the home page or in hard copy from Council’s offices at Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads.
Council’s Manager Corporate Governance, Neil Baldwin, said existing members of Council Committees are invited to submit an expression of interest for the 2012-2016 council term.
“Interaction with community members has aided in the smooth operations of the committees,” Mr Baldwin said.
“It has been a practical example of applying the terms of Council’s Community Engagement Strategy in terms of empowering, involving and collaborating with the community,” Mr Baldwin said.
The closing date for expressions of interest for council committees is Friday, September 21.
