The sun shone and the crowds came for the 104th Tyalgum Diggers Sports Day at Tyalgum on Saturday.
The event, which had not been held for two years, made a successful return, with families flocking to the Valley village to enjoy all the fun of the traditional family day.
Local Federal MP Justine Elliot and Tweed Deputy Mayor Michael Armstrong were the judges of the best little cowboy and cowgirl competition – pictured here with the winners: Little Cowgirl Diggers 2012 Winner – Dusty McMahon (three yreas) of Murwillumbah; and Little Cowboy Digger 2012 Winner – Matthew Guinea (seven yreas) of Tyalgum
“Thanks to all the organisers of the Tyalgum Diggers. This is always a fantastic family event,” Justine said.
“There were so many fun events and activities for everyone.”
