Uralla Central School to Cambridge graduate

Laurence Bell, eldest son of Robert and Linda Bell of Uralla, graduated from Cambridge University with a PhD in Engineering (Nanotechnology), on Saturday, April 28 this year.
He was accompanied at the graduation by his parents and sister Katie, as well as his English partner, Athena.
Educated at Uralla Central School, then Armidale High School, Laurence graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Science (Nanotechnology) in 2006.
He then worked as a research scientist at a private research institute in Sydney, before being accepted into Cambridge University to study for his PhD.
Laurence has taken up a position as a Nanoparticle Research Scientist with Phoenix Engineering in Sydney.
Athena is studying for her PhD in Music Education at the NSW Conservatorium of Music.
