Superheros fly into Tweed

Superhero Saturday is a fun and exciting orienteering style event for the whole family at Jack Evans Boat Harbour parklands, Tweed Heads on Saturday,  November 3.
It starts at 9am and runs through to noon, when prizes will be presented.
Teams are given a ‘mission kit’, including a map, and they will need to find checkpoints and clues to move about the course in the park.
Along the way, at checkpoints there are various family challenges to be completed, such as the Kryptonite Balance, Water Wonder and X-ray Vision.
Come dressed in your best superhero costumes, as simple or as elaborate as you like. Children will team up with adult family members (in teams of two or four) and participate with other families.
Registration fee is $40 for a team of four, or $20 for a team of two and includes entry into the draw for a three-day Sunshine Coast Family Package, including accommodation and a trip to Australia Zoo. There are over $2000 worth of other prizes to be won, including a fabulous prize for the best dressed family.
The Family Centre’s Executive Director, David Boutkan, said the day was about having fun as a family.
“There are great prizes to be won and Super Hero Saturday is about having serious fun with your family,” he said.
“Register today so you don’t miss out on a day your family will never forget, at the same time helping to support the work The Family Centre does with children in your community.”
