Services will be held right along the Tweed Coast on Sunday morning to mark Remembrance Day and the end of World War II almost a century ago.
Kingscliff Sub Branch of the RSL will hold their ceremony at the Cenotaph in Marine Parade, opposite Board Walk Books, from 10.45am.
This year’s guest speaker will be Major Steve Pata, who has recently served in Afghanistan for six months, with his son David, who has just completed his tour. They will both be coming for the service.
A lunch will be held after the service at the club rooms at Cudgen Leagues Club. Bookings are essential and can be made by ringing the club.
Pottsville’s commemorations will also begin at their Cenotaph near the Community Centre at 10.45am.
