Popular cheese making courses are back

Enjoying the fruits of their labour after a day of cheese making.

It would appear there are a lot of cheese-aholics popping up around Armidale. Now, this is not a bad thing, having a love of cheese and making it from scratch. Saving food miles, knowing that what we eat is preservative-free and as a bonus, it‘s cost affective.
When Lyndall and Margie first started taking The Cheesemaking Workshop on the road spreading the word on how easy it is to make delicious cheese in your own kitchen, they had no idea how popular it would become. It would appear that there are a lot of residents in this area that are just as keen to learn just how to make gourmet cheese using very little equipment.
To satisfy the hunger of Armidale’s growing population of home cheese making addicts, the girls will be back in September. In the workshops, participants will learn how to make camembert, fetta, quark, mascarpone, ricotta and Greek style yoghurt. Both one-day 100 per cent hands-on workshops are served with a home baked morning tea, a cheese inspired lunch, with a north coast wine and gift bag of cheese to take home. Workshop dates are Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2.
Hurry! Limited places are available. To book, please call Lyndall on 02 6656 2335. For more information, please visit: www.thecheesemakingworkshop.com.au
