Upgrades open at Pacific Coast

Richmond MP Justine Elliot last week
offi cially opened the new upgrades at the
Pacifi c Coast Christian School as part of the
Federal Labor Government’s Capital Grants
Program.
The $715,000 project, consisting of new
general learning areas, pupil amenities
and walkways, was funded through
$500,000 provided by the Federal Labor
Government.
Justine congratulated the school and its
community on establishing the best possible
facilities for their students and school staff.
Justine said the project demonstrated
the Australian Government’s commitment
to providing every student with the best
possible learning environment through the
provision of these new facilities.
“These outstanding facilities will help
ensure all students at the Pacifi c Coast
Christian School are able to realise their full
potential and attain their goals.
“It is tremendous to be here today to
celebrate the opening of these new facilities
and to witness fi rst-hand the benefi ts this
has provided to the Pacifi c Coast Christian
School,” said Justine.
The Australian Government is providing
record funding to Australian schools and is
doing so in partnership with government
and non-government school authorities.
A key element of that partnership is the
responsibility of those authorities to plan
and prioritise the construction, development
and maintenance of their school facilities in
accordance with local needs.
This funding is part of the more than $1.3
billion that Justine Elliot has delivered for
local roads, schools, health and community
resources
