Townie UNE annual Masquerade Ball

The Black and White Masquerade Ball will be held this Friday.

UNE Townie is holding their annual ball on Friday August 31 at the Tops Bar of the Armidale Bowling Club. The theme for the evening is ‘Black and White Masquerade’, with masks part of the dress code.
The evening will include cocktail platters, a small meal, desert, cocktails and dancing. President Joshua Osborne describes the evening as a chance for students living in town to socialise and celebrate the year so far.
Townie UNE was founded in 2011 by three Earle Page ex-collegians who aimed to give New England townies some of the same opportunities afforded to students attending colleges. This year Townie UNE have put on a number of events, including fortnightly pub nights, discounted pizza and movie nights and participation in the inter-college MB/PT sports competition. These events have been a part of the group’s aim to create a social institution for UNE students living in town.
All students and their friends are welcome. Tickets for the masquerade ball are $40 for members and $50 for non-members and includes all meals and a drink. The current discounted cost of membership for Townie UNE is $10. Tickets and membership can be bought at the UNE townie office (top floor of the Bistro) 11.30-2pm Tuesday and Wednesday, or by contacting Katja Ingham at townieune@hotmail.com or facebook/townie.une.
