Congratulations to AFL Tamworth and the grand final hosts, Inverell Saints AFL Club for a wonderful venue and thrilling game last Saturday between the Inverell Saints and Armidale Nomads.
The first-class ground and amenities at the ground set the stage for a close and hard-fought game.
It was a great game in the best of country football tradition, with cars and spectators surrounding the ground.
The game was played with good spirit by both sides with excellent umpiring. It was not until the last 10 minutes of the game that it became obvious that Armidale was going to triumph over the side that had soundly beaten them two weeks earlier.
The Armidale Nomads’ win was just reward for a great season of football.
