LEOPOLD’S Treat are a collective of librarians, painters, healers and scientists alike, who have found common ground with their interest in the creation of music and they’re on their way to Leopold’s Treat.
They connect with the audience through sharing stories that are often somehow familiar.
Their music, which is experimental acoustic in nature and has a unique country-folk feel. Leopold’s Treat are – Kate Leopold (lead vocals and guitar), Sarah D. (bass, drums), Nige Maunder (drums), Dave Honeyman (lead guitar, harmonies), Kieran Richardt (weissenborn lap slide, guitar) and most recently Lani Motiekaities (harmonies, bass, cello).
A joint effort in songwriting allows a diversity of sounds and emotions to emerge. Leopold’s treat connect with the audience through sharing stories, reflecting on intimate truths, contemplations and drawing on other somewhat intangible sources.
