One Magic Night

IMAGINE it – Elvis and the Big O in one show – two of the all-time great voices.
It is never really going to happen but performer Eddie Daniels tries to bring a sense of what that would be like in his One Magic Night Show, coming to Currumbin RSL on 22 August.
Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley-two of the greatest entertainers of all time together, in One Magic Night – The show that never happened.
Eddie Daniels a vocal impressionist with a love of both Elvis and Roy Orbison and the knack of bringing their best-loved songs back to live.
“The Big O is recognised for his powerful distinctive voice, complex operatic compositions and dark emotional ballads,” he said.
“Elvis Presley once called Roy “the greatest singer in the world” and others have declared him a songwriter who was way before his time.”
The audience will re-live the magic of Roy Orbison through the voice of Eddie Daniels.
And then he turns his attention to Elvis – circa 1973.
“The Elvis Live from Hawaii show was beamed around the world via satellite,” Eddie said.
“He re-created himself that night, performing a combination of his rockabilly hits and beautiful ballads.
“He silenced his critics and showed the world why he is The King. Elvis had a look and presence on stage that melted hearts,” he said.
The King lives again with this memorable performance of his greatest hits from In the ghetto to American Trilogy.
