A SUNNY day and some top greyhound racing was on offer at the Armidale Greyhound Club’s last Saturday meeting for the 2012-2013 season.
Grafton trainer Steve Attwater made the trip worthwhile with three starts and three wins for the day. His wins included race three with Louie Trick, Micacy in the sixth, and the last race of the day with Flabbergasted.
Regular visitor to the Armidale track Kerry Perrett from Blayney led in a double with Mojo Rocks in Race 5 and Mojo’s Angel in Race 7. Other winning trainers came from Wauchope, Moonbi, Queensland, Bingara and Tamworth.
Best of the local trainers was Veronica Wilson with a second for My Son John.
The Grafton Club will be holding the spotlight during July with racing commencing at the Armidale Greyhound Club on Saturday 17 August the first for the 2013-2014 season.
Club President Gary Carson again thanked sponsors, the hard-working committee, owners and trainers for their continued support in making greyhound racing possible in Armidale.
