They’ve got rhythm

By TANIA PHILLIPS

TWO Tweed Coast gymnasts have taken part in the Combined High Schools State Rhythmic Gymnastics titles held at the Hunter Sports Centre in New Castle this week.
The duo, Kingscliff high’s Hana Mitchell and Ebony Whitelock from Banora high, both represented the North Coast region.
The girls, both trained by Stacey Bech who trains at Banora Point high and the Tweed Heads PCYC, competed in rope, hoop and ball in the level three category as part of the Division D (which was open to level three and higher level four competitors).
“Hana was 10th overall while Ebony finished 13th,” Stacey said.
“It was a great achievement by both girls.”
