Exploring art of creative business

THE role of managing a creative enterprise has been likened to landing a jumbo jet on a tennis court.

When you consider that the outcome must ‘wow’ the customer with cutting edge performances and at the same time grow a business, everyone wants to know how.
Sydney Theatre Company’s executive director Patrick McIntye will share his insights into the business of being creative at the TAS Hoskins Centre on Tuesday 23 July at 5.30pm.
The Armidale Business Chamber is delighted to co-host this event with the UNE Business School and the TAS Hoskins Centre.
Mr McIntyre was raised in Armidale and he will deliver an insider’s perspective on working and managing the Sydney Theatre Company.
This is a tremendous opportunity to hear Patrick’s story and gain insight into the immense benefit of harnessing creative energy, particularly when having to adapt to change.
Business operators and other interested people are urged to come along and hear how creative thinking combined with energy can produce extraordinary outcomes.
Mr McIntyre will also be meeting with UNE Business Students prior to this event.
“It is a great privilege to have Patrick share with students the ways in which he designs and manages STC,” Lou Conway from the Business School said.
“This approach to learning gives students hands on experience of problem solving real world issues, bringing theory and practice together provides the best learning opportunity.
“We are extremely grateful to Patrick who is generously giving his time to support and encourage our students in this process.”
Students attending High School, TAFE or undergraduates at UNE are welcome to attend for free; members and community all welcome. Please RSVP to Elizabeth Egan on 6771 1117 or email office@armidalechamber.com.au
