TWEED Landcare and local experts will hold an information walk on Sunday (September 1) to aquaint residents with the controversial Lot 490, between Salt and Kingscliff.
The walk, which the group is billing as a chance to “see for yourself why it is worth saving” is expected to take an hour with a cup of tea afterwards.
Walkers are invited to meet at 10am on the south side of Cudgen Creek Bridge.
Dunecare member Kay Bolton said the biodiversity values of this significant section of the Tweed Coast Crown Reserve would be explained, as would their importance as a flora and fauna habitat and corridor.
Participants are asked to wear covered footwear, long pants, long sleeves and hat and to bring drinking water.
