TWEED River Art Gallery is set to close its doors, but only temporarily.
To accommodate the building and renovations needed to bring the new Margaret Olley Art Centre to life, the gallery will close from 30 September to 15 October.
The closure will affect the entire Tweed River Art Gallery site, including the gallery, the gallery café and the grounds.
This closure has been scheduled to allow major building works to the gallery’s entrance, the Margaret Olley Art Centre and the Café Pavilion.
The gallery will be open to the public for the first half of September/October school holidays, however there won’t be any public programs or creative workshops for these holidays.
The gallery and gallery café will re-open to the public on Wednesday 16 October, with limited parking on-site.
School holiday public programs will resume in the December/January holidays, however the Frances Mills Education Centre will be closed from 30 September through until February 2014. There will be no creative workshops during that time.
