AFTER 26 rounds and a tight competition that came right down to the wire, Dave Brown of Sports Action Elanora has taken out this year’s Tweed Coast Weekly Tipping competition.
With a draw after the final round, Dave eventually won on a countback after Tweed Coast Weekly staff went back through the results of the final four rounds.
Runner-up for the event was Mick Mitchell from A1 Skips who was presented with a Titan’s Jersey after coming so close to taking out the major prize.
Dave will now be the envy of all his mates after he won the trip for two to this year’s NRL grand final on 5 October at the ANZ Stadium.
He received two nights accommodation at the Novotel Rockford, Darling Harbour as well as a return cruise to the game and two gold tickets to the grand final.
Dave, who has never been to a grand final before, was presented with his prize at our end-of-season function at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel on Thursday night.
