PRIOR to continuing in the International Netball Test Series, Diamonds leader Laura Geitz visited Tweed Heads to deliver her popular Laura Geitz Clinics.
Laura visited Tweed Heads Netball Association at Arkinstall Park, Tweed, on Friday.
“I absolutely love getting out and about in the community and meeting the netball stars of the future,” she said.
Under the guidance of the national netball star, young athletes honed their skills on the court, while having lots of fun.
From attack and defence drills and tips to ball skills, Geitz will be joined by her fellow Mission Queensland Firebirds to help young players, no matter what their skill level.
“One of my favourite things about being a netballer is being able to get out into the community to meet my young fans and give them some tips on how to improve their game,” she said.
“I can’t wait to visit Tweed Heads and meet all the young netballers.”
This is just one of only four clinics offered before Laura captained the Australian Netball Diamonds in the International Test Series.
The two-hour clinic was designed for players aged between eight and 15 years.
