DAN Hannaford has been busy gracing hundreds of stages all around Australia but there is nothing he loves more than coming home – and let’s face it, growing up in Northern NSW, Fingal is pretty close to home and heart for the bluesman.
In 2012 he showcased his talent at the National Folk Festival and iconic Byron Bay Blues Festival, being named on the bill alongside John Fogerty, Cold Chisel and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
His single ‘Deeper Water’ was also included on the Bluesfest compilation album.
He has supported the likes of Donavon Frankenreiter and Black Sorrows and his independent debut Rust and Dust recently featured as album of the week on Brisbane ABC Radio.
Not bad for the local lad whose buccaneer country-tinged, blues-laced, rock ‘n’ roll, is the likes of which are few and far between on our current scene.
