JOHN Hurd’s Business Excellence breakfast is celebrating its 20th year with an array of top-line guest speakers and this month features one of Australia’s best-known businessmen.
Business entrepreneur and author Bob Ansett will share his wide business experience, garnered over a lifetime at the breakfast to be held at Tweed Heads Bowls Club on 16 October at Tweed Heads Bowls Club from 7am (NSW).
Australian-born Ansett spent his formative years in the United States. His story has been well documented in his three best-selling books, Bob Ansett, An Autobiography, The Customer and The Meaning Of Success.
He founded the Budget Rent A Car System in 1965 and in doing so developed a unique organisation that grew from a small two-person business to a dynamic enterprise employing over 3000 people trading in 20 countries with annual turnover exceeding $400 million.
Dubbed ’the entrepreneur’s entrepreneur’ by BRW magazine, Bob Ansett left Budget in 1990, establishing Bob Ansett Marketing to manage his speaking engagements and provide consulting services in the field of customer service.
He is currently a director of Betta Home Living and has been president of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, founder and inaugural president of the Australian Customer Service Association, chairman of the Federal Government’s Trade Negotiations Advisory Group and, for 13 years, the president of the North Melbourne Football Club
John Hurd said Mr Ansett was always an interesting, informative and entertaining speaker
“His famous “Can do” philosophy made Budget Rent a Car the largest car rental group in Australia and overseas,” John said.
“Acknowledged as the ultimate presenter on “customer service” he is in regular demand on the speaking circuit.
“Bob has presented to thousands of people his exhilarating and informative background of experience on customer service, leadership, motivation, franchising, selling management and marketing.
“This very special breakfast will sell out quickly as numbers are limited.
“This may be your last chance to see and hear one of Australia’s top presenters!
“He has never failed to fill the room of his earlier visits for Business Excellence.”
