Maccas for Murwillumbah

MORE than 90 local residents will celebrate Christmas with a new job when McDonald’s Murwillumbah opens its doors on Monday 23 December.
Murwillumbah is the fourth McDonald’s restaurant to be operated by licensee John Davis, who has been part of the McDonald’s family for 35 years and also owns McDonald’s BP Chinderah, South Tweed Heads and Tweed City Shopping Centre.
John said the restaurant took seven months to complete and has employed 90 crew and eight managers to service the community, with many positions catering for residents who need flexibility due to school, study or family.
“I am proud that the opening of McDonald’s Murwillumbah will help create job opportunities for local residents as well as provide fantastic training opportunities,” John said.
“McDonald’s offers employees valuable lifelong skills such as time management, customer service and working as part of a team. These qualities are not only applicable in the workforce, but in all aspects of life and will set our employees up for any future endeavours,” John continued.
“The McDonald’s Murwillumbah crew and I are committed to ensuring every customer who walks through our doors receives an experience that delivers on the McDonald’s promise of quality products, clean and comfortable facilities, and fast and friendly service.
“I have already met so many fantastic people and partnered with community and sporting groups to help them achieve their goals, and I look forward to meeting more of the Murwillumbah community over the coming years,” John concluded.
McDonald’s Murwillumbah is located at 230 Tweed Valley Way, Murwillumbah.
