New England and North West accounting firm Forsyths is merging with Gunnedah accounting firm, Paul and Brett Services (PBS). The merger will be effective from July 1.
“The merger between Forsyths and PBS is a natural fit and a proud moment for our business,” said Forsyths Managing Principal, Andrew Kirk.
“The merger will allow us to build on our offering to clients in the Gunnedah area based on the combination of skills and expertise now being brought together.”
Long standing PBS partners, Tim Brett and Joanne Kelly will become Principals of the merged business and will continue to service their existing clients.
“We are very excited about the opportunities this merger will mean for our clients and our loyal team of staff,” said Tim Brett, PBS partner.
The existing Forsyths team will relocate and the newly merged business will operate from the PBS office on Conadilly St. The PBS Narrabri office will continue to operate with the same team in place.
PBS was established in 1948 and provides professional advice in business tax, accounting and financial planning for farmers and small businesses in the region.
Following the merger, the business will be a twelve principal firm, employing almost 100 people in five offices. Forsyths provides services in the areas of business management, strategic planning, assurance and corporate services, reconstruction, insolvency and human resources as well as the core services of tax, accounting and financial planning.
