CHILDREN in the Armidale Hospital had a smile on their face last week when Captain Starlight made a special double appearance.
The two Captains joined staff from Greater Building Society to bring some early Easter joy to some the children and their families.
The visit was the first by Captain Starlight this year.
Funding from Greater Charitable Foundation allows Captain Starlight to visit the hospital four times a year.
In addition to providing funding, the Foundation arranges for Greater Building Society staff members to volunteer at some visits.
Captain Starlight’s visits are a diversional therapy program.
During the visits Captain Starlight uses fun activities such as face-painting, card-playing, singing and balloon-making to help kids take their minds off being in hospital.
