ARMIDALE Roller Derby will take a strong team to Port Macquarie this weekend to compete in the North Coast Derby Coalition.
The tournament is held over two weekends, one in April and one in May, and will showcase the best of roller derby in Northern NSW.
This weekend the Armidale High Rollers will compete against the Coffs Coast Derby Dolls, the Tweed Valley Rollers and Northern Rivers Roller Derby.
Northern Rivers is currently ranked in the top 20 leagues in Australia and is the undefeated champion of the NCDC tournament.
The competition will be tough for Armidale, with several skaters competing in their first bout this weekend.
The High Rollers will be travelling to Byron Bay to play the second weekend of the NCDC tournament on 3-4 May.
