OBSERVATION, identification and cure were the three words that formed the mantra of Jeannine Biviano, who spoke at last week’s Successful Women’s Seminar in Armidale.
Hosted by the PLC Armidale Foundation, around 200 people were engaged and inspired at the annual event held at the Armidale Bowling Club.
Ms Biviano, the deputy director general of the NSW Department of Trade and Investment, titled her address “A healthy approach to career diversity”.
She captivated the audience as they learned about her journey from a nurse to a senior position in the public sector, where she now manages a budget of $2.5 billion and more than 8000 staff.
Ms Biviano shared her three keys to success:
– take initiative and set up without being asked;
– the job description does not define the job and
– to foster pride in achieving goals, that success drives further success.
