One thousand coffees in four hours was always going to be tough but the staff at the Coffee Club in the Armidale Plaza gave it a good go thanks to the generosity of the Armidale community who helped the staff raised over $1400 for the Armidale Hospital Children’s Ward.
Owner of the Coffee Club Ben Kleeman was proud of his staff and appreciative of the support by the people of Armidale.
“We love being involved in our community and being able to contribute,” said Ben.
“My chef has just had a happy and healthy baby and I thought this money could help out someone who is not so fortunate.”
Nurse Unit Manager of Maternity and Pediatrics at the Armidale Hospital Siubhan Davies is always appreciative of any support they are given by the community.
“We are always really appreciative, the money helps us to buy things that help the kids and make their stay in hospital comfortable and achieve an optimal outcome,” said Siubhan.
