SUPERMARKETS in Armidale are gearing up for their busiest time of the year.
Carlo’s IGA manager Renée Moir said staff would be run off their feet in the lead-up to Christmas.
“It’s by far our peak period. Our fresh food and meat products sell really well at this time of the year,” she said.
Ms Moir has been with the Armidale IGA store since it opened in November 2011 and said she was still in love with her job.
“I love the interaction with the staff and the shoppers,” she said.
“We have a really good team here and that makes a difference.”
Ms Moir is supported by assistant manager Sharon Dussart, while Steven Dawson and Paul Walsh head the produce and meat sections respectively.
“We pride ourselves on quality stock and customer service and one of our most popular services is our home delivery, where we hand-pick your groceries and deliver them to you,” Ms Moir said.
