Brown the X-factor

THEY might not boast the “superstar” factor of City and Hillgrove, but Ex-Services has built a solid first grade cricket side that could be competitive at the business end of the season.
The return of Luke Brown to the bowling crease is a big plus and he could be the X-factor Servies needed.
Brown has opened the batting all season, but hasn’t bowled since the first month of the summer after injuring a shoulder.
The left-arm quick showed how much he was missed when he cleaned up Hillgrove’s batting line-up on Saturday, taking 6/24.

Support the dogs
MAKE sure you get down to the Armidale Greyhound Racing Club this Saturday or next as it celebrates its annual Cup Carnival.
Pressure is building on regional greyhound racing clubs to fold up as GRNSW tries to have less non-TAB tracks.
The more people who support greyhound racing in Armidale, the harder it is for the governing body to stop providing funding.
Racing starts at 1pm this Saturday.
