BIKES and cars will hit the road on Saturday in a bid to raise funds for two local familes.
The Workmate Poker Rally is now in its fourth year and has previously helped several people in the community with precious support.
A large contingent of people are expected to gather at the Armidale Showgrounds on Saturday morning for the rally, before making a trip around the region, with stops at Guyra, Bundarra and Uralla.
Each person who takes part collects a playing card at each venue and the person that ends up with the best poker hand wins $500.
There will also be raffles on the day and three bands will play into the night at the showgrounds.
This year, the rally is raising funds for two-year-old Levi Moran, who suffers from chronic lung disease and short bowel syndrome.
His mother Casie Yates said she had to make regular trips to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle to get the adequate care for Levi and said the support from the Workmate Poker Rally was much appreciated.
Steve Holzhauser is also being supported by the group after he was struck down by lung cancer.
