HUNTERS and Collectors did not disappoint as the lead act on A Day on the Green, with fans calling for an encore after their final piece on Saturday night.
Intermittent rain, including one downpour, could not dampen the spirits of the crowd at Petersons Winery.
Local act Terra Firma got the crowd moving, while the entertainment transitioned through the evening via Diesel and British India.
However, it was Something For Kate which took it up a level – the natural ampitheatre at Petersons was rocking.
It peaked with Hunters and Collectors – frontman Mark Seymour gave Armidale punters a show to remember.
Ben and Stacey Adams, who made the trip to Armidale from Newcastle, said it was well worth the drive.
“We were here last year for Paul Kelly and Neil Finn and said we had to come back,” Mrs Adams said.
“Apart from the rain, this year was just as good, I reckon.”
Crowds were well down on last year, mostly due to the weather, however, it is expected A Day on the Green will return to Armidale in 2015.
