ARMIDALE’S Eisteddfod will live on in 2014 … albeit as a much smaller production.
The Armidale Music Teachers’ Association has kept the annual eisteddfod going and has announced its syllabus for the year.
The eisteddfod is scheduled to run from 27 May to 12 June.
It will comprise four sections – choirs, string and chamber ensembles, bands and class ensembles, and compositions.
The four sections will involve thousands of primary and secondary school students from across the region.
However, the 2014 eisteddfod will be without the usual individual event, as well as the various championships.
Members of the Armidale Music Teachers Association will be co-ordinating the entries and sections, but volunteers will still be needed to assist at the various events.
