URALLA student Daniel Murrell has returned from Homebush in Sydney with a silver medal after an oustanding performance at the state primary school sports championships.
The year 3 student at St Joseph’s finished second in the nine-years’ 800m AWD event and represented his school with honour.
As a nine-year-old, the state finals was as far as he could go, but a similar result next could see him head to the national championships.
Daniel was presented with his silver medal by St Joseph’s principal Daniel Ward in front of the school at its recent assembly.

The second round will be two weeks later on 13 December.
