Gardening tour a delight

YOUR GARDEN

ST Peter’s Church certainly celebrated its 25 years of open gardens!
There were 10 gardens to visit and such a dry and warm spring made the garden preparations very difficult for those generous garden owners.
Thank you one and all for once again sharing your passion and hard work with us all.
There were gardens for all levels of gardeners, some smaller and achievable for those who have busy lives. At the other end of the spectrum there was Trevenna, a beautiful old large established garden that matches the grandeur of the “cottage” – I don’t think many of us would describe it so.
I was particularly pleased to visit one garden as I had some involvement in the early part of the design and am so thrilled with what the owners have achieved.
Another fabulous garden in Uralla with wonderful design and execution was a great pleasure to visit, clearly a work of true passion.
I wish I could share more photos, as there were so many features I loved. The drier season has been really suited to irises of all shapes and sizes which excelled in so many different gardens.
From very English and exotic to Australian natives, from small suburban to large and manorial, we were able to visit a lovely range of garden styles, thank you to our hosts!
