Another successful Uralla Art Exhibition

The Rotary Club of Uralla wrapped up another successful Arts Exhibition, with over 180 people in attendance for the opening and over 500 visitors viewing the 350 art works over 10 days.
Many different styles of art works were represented, adding to the enjoyment of the many visitors, and many positive comments were recorded in the visitors’ book.
Each visitor to the Art Show had a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award and the winner was Robbie Duck from Quirindi, with her winning painting “Snow Drift”. Those who voted for the winning art work also had a chance to win $100 and the winner of this prize was Toni Honess of Armidale.
Many volunteers helped with the set up, daily duties and packing up of the Arts Exhibition and were rewarded with the chance to vote for their favourite art work, aptly named the “Packers’ Prizes”. These prizes were kindly donated by Bill and Rae Andrews, and there were four winners in this category. In order of merit: Phillip Thornton’s “Mudgee Homestead” and “Between The Showers – Walcha”, Adam Chaffey’s “A True Australian”, and Rhonda March’s “Saying Goodbye To Andy”.
Local popular artist, Helen Phillips, of Uralla and Aboriginal Artist, Brian Irving from Guyra were the Guest Artists for the duration of the Show.
Two raffles were also on display, with first prizes being an oil painting kindly donated by one of the guest artists, Helen Phillips, and the other a dozen bottles of wines kindly donated by Why Worry Wines and Merilba Estate Wines. The winners of the raffles were as follows:
