BANNERS are aflutter, Oxley Riders are revving to go, and bushranger Thunderbolt is waiting to bail ’em up at the 2013 Uralla Thunderbolts Festival.
A jam packed schedule of entertainment will be on offer with the Oxley Riders Bail Up Poker Run, Rotary barbecue Hill Street, Bottom Pub Band, 11am Jobs Australia street parade, Theme: Wild, Wild West, Captain Thunderbolt, classic cars, Oxley Riders bail-up poker run, hot rods, fire engines, local schools and community groups, whip cracking stilt walker, hot rods and Markets, at Alma Park.
Held in conjunction with Thunderbolt Rough Stock Rodeo Uralla, held on 19 October at Uralla.
The festival begins Saturday 26 0ctober at Alma Park, Uralla, and includes:
* 11.30 am to 4pm. Entry is $1 to the Thunderbolts Festival.
* 11.40am Hemlock – Solid State Circus.
* Noon to 4pm – New England Community Mutual stage: Essential Energy entertainment, Al Heeney Rhythm and Blues Band, jumping castles, rock climb wall with bungee tramps, giant slide, mechanical bull, merry-go-round, face painting, magic.
* 1.30pm – Hula Hoop Competition – hoops supplied, with cash prizes, heats then every five minutes until last person standing. Fleet helicopter Joy flights (Hampden Park)
* 2pm – Phoenix Foundry Billycart Derby, King Street.
Food in Alma Park provided by: Friends of McMaugh Gardens—Devonshire teas, sandwiches, and slices,
SES—BBQ and bacon and Egg Rolls, St Josephs Primary School—BBQ and Drinks, Rocky River Primary School- Lollies and cakes, Uralla Lions—Fairy Floss and Popcorn.

3:00 pm Oxley Riders Show and Shine, Uralla Bowlo Band—Rough Justice, Top Pub Band
8:30 pm Uralla Bowlo, Holy Smoke Fireworks, Queen Street, vacant block opposite Uralla Bowling Club.
Oxley Riders began as a small not-for-profit motorcycle club based in Walcha. The club now attracts members from Armidale, Hunter Valley, Southern Queensland, and Uralla.
Thunderbolts Festival usually attracts over 5000 people and is supported by Uralla Shire Council, numerous businesses, and volunteers.
Funds raised go to Friends of McMaugh Gardens Aged Care Centre.
