One shot shy
OVER the past weeks I have been managing the New South Wales state side in Burnie Tasmania in the Australian Alley Shield side’s championships.
During the event I had a chance to witness the best bowlers in Australia play on greens that were slow as a result of rain.
New South Wales were endeavoring to make it a hat-trick of wins however they finished second to Queensland. Needing to defeat the Reds, the Blues suffered a one-shot loss with the match being decided on the last end with the Reds winning 56-55.
The ladies’ teams took out the championships to record back-to-back victories.
Club events on
THE Ex-Services celebrated Andrew McLennan’s President’s Day on Saturday and all enjoyed the day. While I was away they conducted their annual mixed triples and I am sure winners have been published and I thank Andrew for the results.
During April, Uralla will hold their Easter carnival and Glen Innes will conduct their Celtic Pairs.
If you require any information on these events then please contact the clubs.
