CAPTAIN Kay Nash has been in the winner’s circle of late and last weekend was no exception.
Kay won the individual stableford on Saturday with 37 points on a countback from Cris MacDonald. Mary Dufty was third with 36 points. The ball count went down to 34.
The prestigious Elizabeth Lloyd 4BBB was played on Sunday. Only one point separated the first three placings.
Again Captain Kay Nash with partner Alan Robertson won with 48 points.
Runners-up were Lyn and John Garner on a countback from Jan and Arthur Kirk on 47 points. Many thanks to Elizabeth Lloyd for their most generous sponsorship.
President Amanda Carr presented the charity day cheque to Dr Astrid Knirsch from the New England Division of General Practice last Wednesday.
Past players Wendy Roberts and Penny White were instrumental in developing the concept with money raised going to cardiac rehabilitation.
Nine golf clubs from throughout the north west competed in a play off for the 4BBB Bonville Classic last Monday.
Locals Helen Brodie and Jane McCardell combined their local knowledge and skill to win with a + 6.
Second place went to Lil Faulkner and Lorraine Glock from Uralla + 3.
Helen and Jane will compete in the 2013 NSW Women’s Fourball Team Classic State Final to be held at Bonville Golf Resort in late November.
