Fresh face to gem collecting

NEW England Lapidary and Fossicking Club’s annual Gem and Craft Show returns to Armidale this weekend.
It’s the 23rd year the show has been staged in the city, but this year it will run over two days for the first time.
To be held at the Armidale Showground, the gates will open at 9am on Saturday and Sunday.
Stalls will be situated both inside and around the trade pavilion.
Entry is free via the Dumaresq and Kennedy Street entrances.
Traders come from all over NSW and Queensland to sell their wares.
You can see a spectacular array of gems, opals, rocks, crystals, fossils, jewellery, crafts, gifts, lapidary equipment, books and supplies.
If you are looking for a special gift for someone, the Gem and Craft Show is a great place to start.
Uralla Lions Club will provide a barbecue breakfast and lunch, as well as morning/afternoon teas, light refreshments and cold drinks.
